I’m into my second term at the Royal Academy of Music and have been hard at work writing pieces for various ensembles. I started off the term in October with a reading of the first version of my orchestral work ‘double negative’ which I am currently revising. I just recorded a new work for Octet (the same lineup as Varese’s Octandre) which will be released shortly via soundcloud. An exciting project I’m involved with is the Royal Academy’s Mainly New concert on 1st March of Gavin Bryars’ ‘The Sinking of the Titanic’ which I’ll be responding to and creating two installations reacting to the piece. It will be staged in Ambica P3 which is a warehouse on Marylebone Road, London. More info can be found here: The Sinking of the Titanic.
